Description
The Honeywell Sensepoint XCD RFD (Remote Flammable Detector) is designed for reliable remote monitoring of flammable gas hazards where the sensing point must be separated from the transmitter due to high temperatures, restricted access, or difficult installation conditions. The sensor can be mounted up to 100 ft (30 m) from the transmitter, allowing the transmitter to be positioned in an accessible location for convenient viewing, configuration, and maintenance. Compatible with Honeywell Analytics catalytic bead flammable gas sensors, including long-life poison-resistant and high-temperature thermally matched sensor options, the XCD RFD provides fast and accurate detection with stable performance at low alarm levels. Its easy-to-read tri-color backlit display provides status information through digits, bar graphs, and icons, while non-intrusive magnetic switches support one-person configuration and maintenance. The transmitter also features selectable sink/source 4–20 mA output, MODBUS RTU and RS485 communication, three programmable relay outputs, auto-inhibit during maintenance, and IP66 protection. With wall or pole mounting options and aluminum or 316 stainless steel enclosure choices, the Sensepoint XCD RFD is suitable for gas turbine enclosures, solvent-based printing and coating drying ovens, manufacturing facilities, energy applications, and other challenging industrial environments.
