Description
The Honeywell Searchpoint Optima Plus Point Infrared Gas Detector is a certified infrared point hydrocarbon gas detector designed for reliable gas monitoring in potentially explosive atmospheres. Its infrared detection technology provides a fast response and fail-safe operation while eliminating susceptibility to catalytic poisons and long-term component drift. The detector can monitor a wide range of hydrocarbon gases and solvents and incorporates self-compensating optics, dynamic heating control, contaminated optics warning, false alarm rejection, advanced diagnostics, and integral event logging to support dependable operation. With a 0–100% LEL measuring range, 4–20 mA autosensing sink or source output, optional HART® communication, and Modbus RS485 capability via XNX, the Searchpoint Optima Plus can integrate with industrial monitoring systems. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +65°C, IP66/67 protection, and multiple hazardous-area certifications including ATEX, IECEx, UL, and CSA, it is suitable for offshore platforms, FPSO vessels, refineries, LNG/LPG facilities, terminals, compressor stations, power plants, and other demanding industrial environments.
