Description
The Honeywell OELD (Optima Excel Local Display) is a smart junction box designed to simplify operation and maintenance of Searchpoint Optima Plus and Searchline Excel infrared gas detectors for flammable hydrocarbons. Acting as a 4–20 mA communications bridge between the detector and controller, the OELD provides convenient local access to gas readings and detector status through its integrated LCD display and highly visible traffic-light indicator, with green for normal operation, yellow for fault, and red for alarm. Integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) enables wireless interaction with compatible detectors from up to 10 meters away using the OELD smartphone app, allowing users to configure target gases and alarm set points, perform one-person calibrations, access event logs, run diagnostics, and check detector status without opening the detector enclosure or repeatedly accessing the control room. Its robust aluminum or stainless steel housing and IP66/Type 4X protection make it suitable for demanding industrial environments and hard-to-reach detector installations. The OELD is backward compatible with all versions of Searchpoint Optima Plus and Searchline Excel, providing a practical solution for simplified gas detection maintenance and local status monitoring.
