Description
The Searchzone Sonik™ Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector is designed to quickly detect high-pressure gas leaks by monitoring the ultrasonic sound generated when pressurized gas escapes. Its advanced spectral analysis helps provide reliable detection while remaining unaffected by many environmental conditions that can impact conventional gas detection technologies. The solid-state sensor has no moving parts and is factory calibrated, eliminating the need for field calibration while supporting installation in any orientation and harsh operating environments. Searchzone Sonik provides a typical 20 m (65 ft) detection radius in Standard Mode, with Focus Mode providing on-axis detection up to 7 m. Bluetooth connectivity enables setup and instrument interrogation through compatible smartphones or tablets, while HART® and Modbus RTU RS-485 communication support integration with control and monitoring systems. A bright four-color status indicator provides clear instrument status, while built-in diagnostics and operational logs support maintenance and post-event analysis. With fast response, a wide field of view, flexible mounting, and IP66/67 and NEMA 4X protection, Searchzone Sonik is suitable for compressors, processing plants, turbines, valves, wellheads, metering skids, and exploration vessels.
