Description
The PMVA Manikin was developed in collaboration with a leading secure hospital to support Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training and help teams safely practise physical intervention techniques. Designed for mental health establishments, secure hospitals, prisons, police services, and special schools, it enables a wide range of intervention holds to be practised in both seated and lying positions. Its specially designed arms and hands feature gloved hands that articulate at the correct pressure points, providing a realistic training experience. At 30kg, the manikin offers a practical physical challenge, while anatomically correct weight distribution enhances realism. The durable construction can withstand demanding training conditions, including being partially buried under concrete or steel lintels, driven over by a 4×4 vehicle, or dropped from a second-floor window. Soft body joints help reduce pinch welts and bruising, while the rear webbing loop allows easy handling, hauling, storage, and drying. An immobilisation/extrication collar can also be fitted for casualty-care training. An optional Shoutbox can provide a personalised recorded message of up to 60 seconds for additional training realism.
