Description
The Pool Rescue Training Manikin is designed to provide a more realistic and comprehensive solution for lifeguard training, allowing trainees to practise a complete rescue from deep-water recovery through to towing and removal from the pool using a single manikin. Developed with assistance from the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) and endorsed for use within specified RLSS UK qualification assessments, it is designed to simulate the behaviour of an unconscious person in water. Its carefully engineered submersible design allows the manikin to sink to the bottom of the pool while retaining enough buoyancy to float during towing. Trainees can practise deep-water casualty recovery, turning, towing, two-person assisted lifts, pool extraction, and lifting techniques. The human-like face allows trainees to check the mouth for possible obstructions, while flexible arms reinforced with strong webbing support realistic hauling and recovery techniques. The reinforced nylon mesh permits water ingress for sinking and provides ventilation and rapid drainage after retrieval. Available in Adult and Junior sizes, the manikin can also be used with Pool Extraction Boards (PXB). A mesh carry sheet is available separately for storage and transportation.
