The Dräger X-am® 5800 is a versatile and robust multi-gas detector capable of monitoring up to six gases, including flammable vapors, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and toxic gases. It features the shock-resistant CatEx sensor, which provides rapid calibration, extreme durability, and resistance to sensor poisoning from substances like silicones. With its lightweight design, large glove-friendly buttons, and clear icon-based display, the device is easy to operate in harsh industrial environments. The X-am 5800 supports Bluetooth® connectivity and integration with the Dräger Gas Detection Connect system, enabling live data transfer, cloud-based analysis, and efficient asset management. Approved for Ex Zone 0 and IP68-rated, it includes safety features such as four oxygen alarm thresholds, a panic alarm, and optional motionless (“Bodyguard”) alarm.
