The Dräger X-am 5600 is a small, ergonomic, and robust multi-gas detector designed for personal monitoring of up to six gases, including flammable hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen, and various toxic gases. Its durable infrared sensor technology offers high stability, contamination resistance, and a lifespan of up to eight years, with calibration required only annually, reducing maintenance costs. The detector can combine infrared and electrochemical sensors for dual measurement of flammable substances and CO2 or hydrogen, providing precise, poison-resistant detection in areas traditionally requiring catalytic sensors. The X-am 5600 is water- and dustproof (IP67), features a protective rubber boot, and supports flexible applications including pre-entry measurements with an optional external pump and area monitoring when paired with Dräger X-zone 5500/5800 devices.
