The Dräger X-am 5000 is a versatile and durable multi-gas detector designed for personal monitoring of up to five gases, including combustible gases, oxygen, toxic gases, organic vapors, odorants, and amines. Ergonomically designed and lightweight, it offers intuitive operation via a two-button control panel and a clear menu. The detector features flexible, easily exchangeable sensors, including a poison-resistant catalytic Ex sensor with long-term stability and an expected lifespan of over four years, reducing operational costs. Built to withstand tough conditions, the X-am 5000 is IP67-rated, shock-resistant, and protected against electromagnetic interference, water, dust, and vibrations. For confined space monitoring, an optional external pump can be attached with hoses up to 45 meters long, enabling pre-entry measurements. The detector supports area monitoring when paired with the Dräger X-zone 5500/5800, allowing wireless fenceline setups for pipelines or industrial tanks. Function and bump tests are simplified through Dräger X-dock and bump test stations, while the flexible power supply supports both alkaline and rechargeable NiMh batteries, with a Save Energy Mode extending runtime beyond 40 hours.
