The 3M™ Organic Vapor Cartridge 6001 is a NIOSH-approved solution designed to protect against a wide range of gases and vapors in industrial and workplace environments. This cartridge features a bayonet-style connection that fits a variety of 3M™ Half and Full Facepiece Reusable Respirators, including the 6000, 6500, 7500, 7800S, FF-400 Series, and 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 SureSeal and AV-3000 HT models, providing optimal compatibility and protection. Designed with a swept-back, low-profile structure, the 3M™ Organic Vapor Cartridge 6001 enhances the user’s field of vision, ensuring comfort and balance while in use. The lightweight design, paired with low breathing resistance, ensures easy breathing, even during prolonged wear, reducing fatigue for the user. This cartridge is easy to install with a quarter-turn twist mechanism that secures it into place, providing quick and hassle-free setup. The 3M™ Organic Vapor Cartridge 6001 can be used across a wide range of applications, helping reduce inventory needs by offering versatile protection in many different environments. These cartridges utilize carbon particles to adsorb contaminants, offering protection up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces, and up to 50 times the OSHA PEL with quantitatively fit-tested full facepieces. However, they are not suitable for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or contain hazardous levels of airborne particulates. For workplace and occupational use only, the 3M™ Organic Vapor Cartridge 6001 should be replaced according to a documented change-out schedule or sooner if odors, tastes, or irritation from contaminants are detected.
