The 3M™ Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Cartridge/Filter 60923, P100, is NIOSH-approved for protection against a wide range of gases, vapors, and particulates, depending on the model selected. Designed with a bayonet-style connection, it is compatible with a wide array of 3M™ reusable respirators, including the 6000, 6500, 7500, 7800S, and FF-400 Series, as well as 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 SureSeal and AV-3000 HT facepieces. The low-profile, swept-back design of the cartridge enhances field of vision and provides a balanced fit, improving comfort during use in hazardous environments. The lightweight construction and low breathing resistance allow for easy breathing, making it ideal for extended use in industrial applications. Installation is quick and simple with a quarter-turn connection, reducing inventory complexity. The carbon particles in the cartridge adsorb harmful contaminants, while the particulate filter provides additional protection against airborne particulates. This cartridge/filter combination offers protection from gas or vapor concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces and up to 50 times the OSHA PEL with quantitatively fit-tested full facepieces. For enhanced workforce protection, 3M offers a free online tool to help users select the right respirators, cartridges, and filters for their specific hazards and manage change-out schedules. However, the 3M™ Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Cartridge/Filter 60923 is not suitable for environments immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). Filters should be replaced according to the recommended schedule or sooner if any smell, taste, or irritation from contaminants is detected.
