The 3M™ Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Cartridge 6003/07047(AAD) is a NIOSH-approved respiratory protection solution designed to protect against a wide range of organic vapors and acid gases. It is compatible with 3M™ Half and Full Facepiece Reusable Respirators, such as the 6000, 6500, 7500, 7800S, FF-400 Series, as well as 3M™ Scott™ AV-3000 SureSeal and AV-3000 HT models. This cartridge features a bayonet-style connection for a secure, quick, and easy installation with a quarter-turn twist. Its swept-back, low-profile design helps to optimize your field of vision while maintaining a well-balanced fit, providing users with both comfort and safety in challenging environments. The lightweight construction and low breathing resistance make it ideal for extended use, ensuring comfort throughout the workday. Designed for use in a variety of industrial applications, the 3M™ Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Cartridge 6003 offers protection from certain gas and vapor concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces and up to 50 times the OSHA PEL with quantitatively fit-tested full facepieces. It is suitable for a wide range of hazardous environments, helping reduce inventory needs by being compatible with a variety of 3M™ respirators. The cartridge uses carbon particles to adsorb contaminants, offering long-lasting protection and optimized breathability. However, it is not suitable for use in environments immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or where hazardous levels of airborne particulates are present. To ensure continued protection, the cartridge should be replaced according to a documented change-out schedule or sooner if odor, taste, or irritation from contaminants is detected.
