Description
The RKI FP-31 Formaldehyde Gas Detector is a highly sensitive portable instrument designed for accurate detection of formaldehyde in various environments. Using photoelectric photometry technology and colorimetric detection tablets, the FP-31 draws an air sample over the tablet for either 15 or 30 minutes. The tablet reacts to formaldehyde, darkening in proportion to its concentration, which is then measured by the optical sensor and displayed directly on an easy-to-read LCD screen. Capable of detecting very low formaldehyde levels, the FP-31 ensures safe breathing conditions in applications such as furniture and woodworking, coating and varnishing, engineered wood products, medical and veterinary settings, carpet manufacturing, adhesives, heat treatment operations, and RV inspections. The device operates on 4 AA batteries, provides no false readings from interfering gases, and supports detection ranges of 0–0.4 ppm for 30-minute samples and 0–1.0 ppm for 15-minute samples.
