Description
The UFS Horizontal Lifeline System is designed to provide continuous fall protection and secure anchorage for users who need to move along a horizontal track. The system uses an 8 mm SS316 stainless steel wire rope installed between rooftop anchor posts, with intermediate posts supporting the wire rope along the length of the lifeline. Intermediate posts are installed at 5 to 15 metre intervals, while a tensioner at one end maintains wire rope tension and a swageless termination is used at the other end. A stainless steel horizontal skater connects the user to the lifeline through a lanyard and is designed to move smoothly along the system, including through intermediate posts, helping maintain continuous anchorage. The system also incorporates a shock absorber to help reduce impact forces on the user and the end anchors. It can be installed on building roofs and conforms to EN 795:2012 Type C and TS 16415:2013.
